Being a Program Aide-In-Training, Program Aide or Volunteer-In-Training at camp gives you the opportunity to take the lead, plus you get to help younger Girl Scouts and unit leaders at camp.  VITs (Volunteer-in-Training) are Girl Scouts who have served as a PA at Camp PINE at least 1 year, completed the 11th grade, and wish to add to their leadership skills.

To apply to be a PAT, PA, or VIT complete the application by April 10th at this link:

Camp P.I.N.E. PA/VIT Application

**All applicants must be able to attend a one-day retreat in May.  Time and location to be determined.

Our teens are required by Girl Scouts of Western Washington (GSWW) to complete the Program Aid Workshop training before they can be placed in a leadership role at camp working with our campers. Please check the GSWW website calendar for virtual training for participants who haven't take PA training.

Program Aide in Training (PAT)

When teens come to Camp P.I.N.E. for the first time the summer before their 7th-12th grade year of school, they will be a Program Aide in Training (PAT). PATs get leadership training and a chance to shadow an experienced leader of one of our camper units during the week working with different ages of campers and seeing what grade levels and stations they prefer.

Program Aide (PA)

After serving as a PAT at camp our teens graduate to Program Aide (PA). PAs are able to lead units of campers, lead our stations and act as other support staff at camp. Our Teens are the heart of our camp and drive the direction we go.

Volunteer in Training (VIT)

When teens come to Camp P.I.N.E. the summer before their 12th-grade year of school, they will be a Volunteer in Training (VIT). VITs assume leadership roles in planning the camp and take on important tasks.
