Camp P.I.N.E. takes the health and safety of our participants and volunteers very seriously. We will be following Girl Scouts of Western Washington and Washington State guidelines.

Some of the steps we will be taking include:

  • All participants will be masked

  • We will maintain social distancing during activities

  • Groups will be capped at 16 (including PAs and Unit Leaders) and will not intermingle

  • Supplies and surfaces will be sanitized between groups

  • A Health Supervisor will be on site at all times

  • We will have a designated "Health & Isolation Area" for any participants who become ill during the event

  • Participants and volunteers will be asked to conduct a "Girl Scout Ready" assessment prior to arrival

We ask that all participants conduct a Girl Scout Ready Self-Screening approximately 30 minutes before camp. You do not have to submit this form. You will just verify that you or your youth are "Girl Scout Ready" at check-in.

Guidelines from Girl Scouts of Western Washington:

  • GSWW is permitting authorized GSWW volunteer-led day and twilight camps.

  • GSWW will work with volunteer-led day camp leadership to identify a designated COVID-19 guideline expert who will receive specialized training to ensure guidelines and best practices are followed.

  • Volunteer-led day camps will follow all GSWW Member Safety Guidelines and may set additional guidelines based on local county or health department recommendations, and their individual sites.

  • Camps with swimming will need to adhere to all site policies and state regulations for swimming facilities and follow additional GSWW guidelines provided to their designated COVID-19 guideline expert.

  • Campers will be assigned to cohorts with a group size of 16 including all campers, program aides and adults. A cohort stays together for activities, meals, and movement around camp.

  • Cohorts are limited to 16 individuals. Cohorts can gather outdoors for activities in groups up to 50, as long as the cohort keep a 6ft distance between different cohorts. Total number of individuals on a site is limited to 400.  All camps are required to have COVID Safety Plans, detailing measures specific to the facilities that they operate in, including which onsite staff have medical training, measures that will be taken in the event of a positive case, circumstances that will require medical assistance, and what to do in the event of an outbreak. COVID Safety Plans must be reviewed and approved by GSWW staff and need to be publicly available for review by campers and their families and local health jurisdictions.
